Welcome to the eighth annual GlobeDocs Film Festival, presented by Cross Insurance. This year, GlobeDocs is going hybrid, with both in-person and virtual programming. Join us October 12-16 to view 30+ films and post-film discussions with documentary lovers from around the country. You can purchase tickets and All Access Passes for virtual showings here.
Films can only be viewed in the U.S.
Below are a few answers to common questions you might have:
How can I attend an in-person screening?
Tickets will be available for select film screenings at The Brattle Theatre and Coolidge Corner Theatre. For more information about GlobeDocs Film Festival in-person screenings, click here.
How do I access the virtual festival?
Purchase individual film tickets or an All Access Pass to attend our virtual 2022 screenings. Some programming will have limited access, so it's best to purchase your ticket early to have the greatest opportunity to see the films you're interested in viewing. If you have purchased an All Access Pass, you will still need to reserve tickets to the films you want to see (at no additional charge).
How do I view the films at home?
Passholders and ticketholders will need to set up an account in our festival software, Eventive, to access this year's films. Eventive will enable you to watch films from your computer or via an app on your Roku or AppleTV. You'll receive an email from Eventive once your films are ready to stream.
Please note: Select films are only available to be streamed in designated locations. Check the Catalog for details of a particular screening. If you are located in one of these locations and are still having trouble reserving a ticket or viewing a film, reach out to Eventive for live chat support.

ABOUT GLOBEDOCS
With GlobeDocs, The Boston Globe furthers its reach as an organization dedicated to shedding light on the truth by presenting the work of filmmakers near and far who are also focused on telling important stories, large and small.
GlobeDocs holds free screenings throughout the year leading up to the annual festival. The annual GlobeDocs Film Festival is a multi-day documentary festival designed to engage, promote, and celebrate film and production talent. The festival is specifically curated to include a lively, hosted post-film conversation with Boston Globe journalists to turn screenings into an opportunity for the community to come together and have an open dialogue.
Now in its eighth year, the annual festival will be hosted in a hybrid format. Documentary lovers from near and far are invited to take part in virtual and in-person screenings and post-film discussions over the course of 5 days.
